Winter Farmers Market 1st and 3rd Saturdays
The Winter Kingston Farmers Market is being held at Old Dutch Church on the 1st and 3rd saturdays of each month through April. The market is in Bethany Hall from 10:00am to 2:00pm with a variety of food and craft vendors. The next one is Saturday, February 4th. Great Messiah Sing-in, Sunday, Jan. 29th
Experience the joy of the Christmas season at Old Dutch Church. Please join our bass, tenor, alto and soprano choirs and we will sing the praises of Jesus together. The public is invited to participate in the performance of G.F. Handel's great Messiah Sing sing-along. The event is scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 2011 at 4:00 pm. A reception will follow.
Ash Wednesday Service, Feb. 22 at 7:00pm
A special Ash Wednesday worship service is scheduled for February 22nd at 7:00pm. All are welcome to attend.
George Washington Dinner February 29th at 6:00pm
The annual George Washington Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, February 29th at 6:30pm. A traditional roast beef dinner with all of the fixings will be served and there will also be group singing, social networking and a special presentation. All are welcome to attend. Sunday School Schedule
Regular worship services are every Sunday at 10:30am in the Old Dutch Church Sanctuary. All children through High School age are welcome to be a part of the Old Dutch Church Sunday School. The Youth of the Church attend the worship service and then meet in Bethany Hall after the Children's Sermon for class. We are following the One Room Sunday School curriculum. Please join us! New Members Received on Pentecost
On Pentecost Sunday, June 12th, we received seven new members into our church family:
Jason Houghtaling and Nicole Paone make their home in Lake Katrine with their 9 month old daughter, Cecelia. Jason and Nicole bothjoined on a Confession of Faith and Jason also received adult baptism.
John Kern divdes his time between a home in Kingston and one in New York City. John is transferring his membership from Marble Collegiate Church in New York.
Rick and Julie Leon live in the Town of Woodstock with their two sons, Ricky and Ben. Rick is a physician's assistant and, among other interests, Julie teaches Zumba classes. Both Rick and Julie are musicians and have joined Old Dutch on a Confession of Faith.
John McKinney is a local optometrist who is interested in local history and lives in our neighborhood. John was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Tennessee, and has joined Old Dutch on a Confession of Faith.
Alberta Perez has grown up at Old Dutch. Also a Kingston resident, Alberta was Confirmed on Pentecost and became a member of Old Dutch on a Confession of Faith.

"OLD DUTCHERS" ARE DOING THEIR BIT FOR ECONOMIC RECOVERY!!
Two new businesses, owned by members of Old Dutch, have recently opened in Uptown Kingston. The Grand Opening of Toad Lily at the Burgevin (Burgevin Florist, Inc.) is scheduled for Friday, October 1st and will continue with their participation in the First Saturday Art Walk from 6 - 9 pm on October 2nd. Congratulations and best wishes to Liz & Galen Kelly and Brian Tymon on their venture into the world of flowers.
Located in the Burgevin Building at 245 Fair Street, the new phone number for the shop is 338-8500.
After 15 years as a CPA in another company, Matt Hall has opened his own accounting firm, Matthew C. Hall & Co., CPAs, at 155 Stockade Drive, across Schwenk Drive from Kingston Plaza. Matt and his partner, Rachael Weber, offer a full range of accounting services and are planning their Grand Opening in the near future. Their phone number is 338-2088.
Old Dutch Church Awarded $25,000.00 Matching Grant
Thanks to the New York Landmarks Conservancy for the generous $25,000.00 matching grant! This means that any donation made to the restoration fund will count for twice as much! For additional information on the Old Dutch Church restoration and to make a donation, please click here.

OLD DUTCH CHURCH MINISTRY OF MUSIC
All are welcome to join us in praising God through music. The Old Dutch Church Senior Choir rehearses every Thursday from 7-8:30pm and is a regular part of the worship service every Sunday. The Handbell Choir practices on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm. Patricia Johnson is the Director of the Senior and Handbell Choirs for Old Dutch Church. $500 Mission & Outreach Grant from Stewart's Shops
Stewart's Shops has awarded the Old Dutch Church Mission & Outreach committee a $500.00 grant to be used toward the successful Clothes for Kids program. ODC Mission & Outreach works with the local school district in providing necessary clothing for needy school children. The committee is currently collecting canned and non-perishable foods for the food pantry at Clinton Avenue UMC.
$1,000 Grant from Key Bank
Thanks to the generosity of Key Bank, the Old Dutch Church Heritage Museum is printing a new guide of the Church and grounds. Visitors will be able to make the most of their trip and use the brochure as a self-guided walking tour. The Old Dutch Church and Museum is open to the public for tours every Sunday and by appointment. For more information and to request a self-guided walking tour of the Church, please click here.
Mission & Outreach
The Old Dutch Church Mission & Outreach committee is collection non-perishable foods in order to stock Caring Hands food pantry. Packages of new children's underwear and socks are also being accepted at this time and will be donated to the Kingston City School District. All donations are welcome and can be left at the Church in the red collection bins.
