FINE ARTS AT OLD DUTCH
Of the many ways in which we reach out to those in our community and invite them into our church, one of the most popular is the Old Dutch Fine Arts Series. Old Dutch hosts a variety of performances including concerts, recitals, craft fairs, gallery openings, sculptural exhibitions and even full scale theatrical productions! Performances and events take place on our grounds, in Bethany Hall and in our beautiful Sanctuary. All of these spaces can hold hundreds of people comfortably, creating a venue that offers a truly unique setting. Our Fine Arts Series promises events and performances that are always entertaining and thought provoking. Old Dutch Church has participated in the ASK Sculpture Biennial numerous times, we have hosted many performances for community groups and repertory companies and we most recently have participated in the Art Along the Hudson First Saturday program. We invite you to come to Old Dutch and celebrate the arts with us. The programs that we host are our open to the general public and always free of charge.
UPTOWN ORGAN RECITAL SERIES
The Uptown Organ Recital Series began in 1992 and this program is enjoyed by many members of the community. During the summer months, the recitals are held from 12:15- 12:45pm on Thursday afternoons. Organists from all over the Hudson Valley come to Old Dutch to entertain us with their musical talents. It is a delight to sit and listen to such beautiful music in our Sanctuary as the acoustics are magnificent. We welcome all of the talented musicians that come to Old Dutch, especially organists as we believe that their playing is a showcase of our impressive Möller Pipe Organ. Installed in 1955, this organ is the largest church organ between West Point and Albany; restored and releathered in 1980, it also boasts a new console which was added in the Mid-1990's. The Uptown Organ Recital Series is assisted through a grant from the Dutchess County Arts Council. For more information, please contact the Old Dutch Church office at 845 338 6759 or click here.
YEAR ROUND CONCERT SERIES
In an attempt to supplement the extremely successful Uptown Organ Recital Series, we expanded our Fine Arts program throughout much of the year! There are noontime concerts on Thursdays in the Spring and Fall and during the seasons of Lent and Advent. Events feature performers from the entire spectrum of the arts and not only are they entertaining, relaxing and meditative, they are a great diversion from a typical work day. All are welcome to attend and admission is free. Concerts begin at 12:15pm and generally conclude at 12:45pm.

OLD DUTCH CHURCH HERITAGE MUSEUM
The present edifice of Old Dutch Church was designed by renowned architect Minard LaFever and it truly is a work of art in and of itself. The structure was erected in 1852 and constructed of massive Native Bluestone and Limestone blocks. The aesthetic combines Renaissance, Egyptian and Gothic Revival motifs. The interior of the Sanctuary was designed in the style of Christopher Wren and it features a gorgeous 15-foot illuminated stained glass window depicting the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. This priceless work of art was created by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1891. The Old Dutch Church Heritage Museum maintains countless historical treasures from our rich past, but also many original works of American art from the Colonial period through to the present.
